How about 2 wheels that can attach somehow on the short bottom corner of the box so the box can roll by pulling the handle.
Absolutely agree. Just have to find the best way to do it.

@K_laframboise Are there other rolly bags or cases that you use regularly? Also curious if you’d wheel offroad or in rough terrain if there were appropriate wheels.
Yes ! I got this idea while using this rolling duffle bag : https://www.eaglecreek.com/products/no-matter-what-rolling-duffel-110l
Of course off-road wheels would be even better !
For the wheels I would use something like that from another bag that I have : https://www.osprey.com/sojourn-shuttle-wheeled-duffel-36-130l-shuttle36f23-550#color=Koseret%2520Green
(You can check the picture)
I thought some kind of wheeled plastic chassis (on the drawing in blue) with some straps that attach on the rail on each smaller side (on the drawing in red) but I don’t know if it would be stable enough…)
If need to add stability, one way could be to have strong magnets in the chassis and a u shaped metal plate inside the box that holds everything in place… 🤔

@K_laframboise we’re definitely thinking about this and has been on our roadmamp since the start. We’ll let you know once we get to a proto stage. So you’re thinking you’d like something that can be added or removed to the RUX? Also would be great to know where you would be wheeling, ariport, campground, etc…
That’s great news ! I am looking forward to know about prototype and stuff. I was thinking about something removable so you can use it on any Rux when you need it and store it when you don’t so it keeps the weight of the Rux down. -> but I do understand that sometimes it might be easier to have a wheeled rux directly.
I would wheel my Rux in airport, campground (if possible, in the streets … the other day we had to cross the border of Thailand/cambodia by foot and had to carry a few Rux for a distance, I would have loved to have wheel during that time. (It was complicated because my wife find it hard to carry) I would even roll it for commuting in skytrain/underground metro.
At the moment my wheel option is to use this :
https://www.justbags.ca/samsonite-compact-folding-luggage-cart.html
Which I store in one of the boxes when not in use. The problem is that the soft bottom of the Rux makes it hard to carry, so I’ve added support at the base of the trolley by using a small wood panel almost as wide as the Rux. I put in on the trolley before putting my Rux.
I can easily carry 2 “Rux boxes with it.
Thanks 🙏

this is great feedback. and very in line with some things Tony has been experimenting with. I love that you’re already finding a way to do it.

I can see where integrated wheels are desirable, but as someone who travels all over the US with heavy cases of tools, they’re the weakest part and first to fail of of any brand I’ve used over the past 20 years. I’ve been looking online for foldable 2 and 4-wheel hand trucks. If RUX made something like that which was part of the system, it might be better.
