Shoulder Straps - add padding

B

If you are going to offer shoulder straps, my personal opinion is you make your curront verion standard. Thay are not very good.
You can offer to ‘swap’ them out at at what ever prive for the upgraded ones.
I suggest some minniamal home work and check out MEC.ca and and what ever interchangeble stuff is out there. Cops, Fire Fighters etc love that that stuff. They also have too much money. They like to spend it, on cool stuff, like RUK. But it has to work….

Hey @Bunker.fit thanks for your feedback! Are you talking about the shoulder straps on the RUX 70 or waterproof bag? The design intent of the existing straps is to be lightweight and minimal. If there are other straps you like please share links. Thanks.

For the 70, they just dont supply the support required. I don’t have any links at the moment, but something more substantial like a back pack. 70 can hold alot, and well, those little straps just cut in. I was recently on a weekender, and we filled our RUK’s and I had the 70, I was can say it hurt to take that on my shoulders, and I have shouldered a lot of kit.

@Bunker.fit I see. Do you know which version of the RUX or straps you have? We have considered both beefier straps as an extra option or a pad that can be added to existing straps. Maybe send me some pics of your existing straps so I know we’re on the same page.
